NetStar-1 is a business focused on the technologies and solutions which are driven by the integration of data, voice and video. The company’s mastery of “convergence” has come from more than twenty years of work supporting IT applications and mission-critical environments. NetStar-1 engineers have placed a special emphasis on helping clients maximize their IT investment by designing, installing and supporting technologies that deliver a variety of information types, such as Voice Over IP, Video Over IP, ATM, Optical, Wireless and more. Our solutions are designed and delivered through a staff of technology leaders who bring more than a thorough set of skills and experiences – they bring a customer-attentiveness and commitment to meeting the expectations of our clients, business partners and support staff.
NetStar-1 was formed by a management team deeply experienced in Federal and commercial product integration; bringing a wide range of technology solutions and support skills to the IT solutions arena.
While we are a relatively new company, NetStar-1 is a fourth-generation management success story…the company’s founders and management team have worked together for almost twenty years building a reputation for customer-centric business, ethics, vendor accountability and simply “doing what’s right”. This leadership team began its work together in the early 1980’s, while employed by the Government, major suppliers, and systems integrators – Falcon Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation, IBM and CSC. Their second generation together can be traced to their success story at Sylvest Management Systems – one of the first federally-focused system integrators to target client/server and open systems-based solutions. NetStar-1’s founders worked hard to build Sylvest’s broad array of contract awards – a GSA Schedule, numerous IDIQ contracts, NASA’s SEWP and Treasury’s TDPI.
After more than $150-million in product revenue and a billion dollars in contract backlog, Sylvest was sold to Federal Data Corporation, and subsequently sold to Northrop-Grumman Corp. NetStar-1’s founders stayed together to build TimeBridge Technologies into one of the country’s most respected network- and applications-based solutions providers in the commercial marketplace. Their engineering excellence and order management skills quickly led to major contracts and exceptional business relationships built with the industry’s most respected manufacturers and suppliers – Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, SGI, Compaq, Oracle, H-P, Juniper and others. At its peak, TimeBridge engineers designed critical networks and applications for more than fifty clients, and its reputation as a leader in sophisticated network design and implementation brought it to the attention of a number of larger solutions integrators. TimeBridge was purchased by Dimension Data PLC, and its executive staff took key positions within Dimension Data’s US operations theater.
