NetStar-1 has just been awarded a long-awaited contract from the State of Maryland’s Office of Budget and Management. We are proud to announce that DBM-0209-NCE, will deliver Cisco Systems’ Network Communications Equipment to State of Maryland agencies and departments. The contract can also be used by County and city governments, educational institutions (private and public, K-12 and higher education) and other organizations that utilize Statewide contracts for their procurement actions.

NetStar-1’s management team was notified of its award in late May 2003, and final signature should be received by June 18, 2003. Orders can be accepted immediately.

The program will be managed by Ms. Kathy Monaco, who received state recognition for her diligence and commitment to customer satisfaction, while serving as the Program Manager for the state’s previous Cisco buying vehicle award to TimeBridge Technologies.

The new contract has a base award period of one year, with four one-year optional extensions. NetStar-1’s extensive technical and engineering services’ capabilities were a major focus of the Company’s proposal to the State of Maryland. During a lengthy competitive selection process, company executives and proposed program management and delivery staff all expressed their eagerness to re-engage with the State’s IT management, in order to assist the State of Maryland in meeting its communications requirements.
