NetStar-1 Announces Significant Federal Year-End Contract Awards

NetStar-1, Inc. has announced that it received notice from numerous Federal government contracting officers that it was awarded a significant number of program and projects at Fiscal Year-end 2008. These contracts were both new awards and recompetes, where the company continues to win over 90% of its recompeted business. In the last months of FY2008, both new and repeat customers awarded NetStar-1 an impressive number of contracts totaling approximately $50 million. Summary information of these wins includes:

New Contract Awards

  • Defense Threat Reduction Agency – as a subcontractor to Lockheed-Martin, NetStar-1 will upgrade and reconfigure DTRA information technology assets and incorporate existing IT architectures into a central system.
  • TRICARE Management Activity Information Assurance – NetStar-1 will provide administrative support services to the U.S. Army TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) including document management, scheduling, time card verification, and training coordination.
  • TRICARE Management Activity Ports and Protocols Services Management – NetStar-1 will identify, interpret, and implement correct use of ports and protocols on DOD networks supporting the transport of medical applications and data.
  • NAVAIR EVMS – NetStar-1 will perform new work in the area of Cost Estimating/Analysis Earned Value Management (EVM) Services for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security PMO – NetStar-1 will provide PMO Support to the DHS National Protection and Program Directorates (NPPD).
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service – NetStar-1 will provide the USDA Forest Service (FS) with Tier 0 and Tier 1 contact center services.
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security USCIS – NetStar-1 will perform administrative, graphical and IT Governance communication in support of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) program office’s day-to-day operations.
  • U.S. Department of Agriculture – NetStar-1 will monitor networks for routers deployed in the USDA Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and its regional locations.
  • Executive Office of the President/Presidential Transition Team – As lead subcontractor to Qwest Government Services, NetStar-1 designed and is now implementing a state of the art Information Technology (IT) infrastructure that will provide the full suite of IT Services that will be used by the President-elect to include: High-Performance Networking, Disaster Recovery and COOP Sites, E-mail Services, Internet Services, Web Services, Video Conferencing, Remote Access Services, etc.
  • Department of Justice ID Management – NetStar-1 will be developing the plans and procedures for a help desk associated with HSPD-12 compliance and implementation.
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security ICE – NetStar-1 will provide program management and consultant services in direct support of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Executive Information Unit/Modernizations Office’s (ICE EIU/MO) investment initiatives and OI Modernization efforts.

Re-Compete Contract Awards

  • NAVY 260 – NetStar-1 will analyze and provide recommendations for procurement and logistics support resource requirements for PMA-260 Common Ground Support Equipment.
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security – NetStar-1 will review and investigate DHS Office of Security (OS) personnel security files.
  • U.S. Department of Commerce NOAA SOCC – NetStar-1 will maintain the hardware systems used to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Satellite Operations Control Center (SOCC). The SOCC operates and monitors satellite systems and telemetry. 
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security USCG Deepwater Financial and Audit Support Services - NetStar-1 will assist USCG Acquisition Directorate and the USCG Deepwater Program in improving financial management processes and procedures, reconciling financial accounts, resolving previous audit finding, developing program specific financial management documentation, and monitoring internal control processes and procedures.
  • U.S. Department of Labor OSHA – NetStar-1 will work to execute, operate, manage, maintain and continually improve the OSHA Help Desk. 
  • National Labor Relations Board ITSS – NetStar-1 will operate the NLRB Helpdesk, providing a variety of services, as well as providing assistance on using NLRB-approved software applications or hardware features.
