NetStar-1 and Morgan State University (Baltimore, MD) have agreed to work together to design and deploy a campus-wide network upgrade to improve student and staff access to critical network-based resources. The project will deliver industry-leading technologies from Cisco Systems, Inc. and other manufacturers. The multi-million dollar procurement has been approved by State of Maryland planning and budgetary oversight groups and is expected to be deployed throughout the summer of 2006. NetStar-1 will provide an onsite program team consisting of a dedicated project manager, supported by installation technicians and engineers. The goal of the team will be to integrate the solution into MSU’s existing infrastructure, and collaborate with MSU technical and management staff to insure that the program meets all stated technical goals within MSU’s budget and timeframe.
