Wireless Connectivity Services Practice Announced with Veteran Industry Leader

October 2008 – Rockville, MD. NetStar-1, Inc. – a rapidly growing provider of technology and management consulting services, announced today that it has hired Vic DeLeon to lead a new professional services team that will focus on delivering solutions in the wireless communications space.

DeLeon will join the company as a Practice Manager, reporting into NetStar-1’s Integrated Solutions Division. With more than ten years experience, Mr. DeLeon's skill set encompasses both a solid, hands-on technical expertise along with the soft skills of effective team development and leadership.

Prior to his decision to lead the NetStar-1 Wireless Solutions Team, Vic served as Technology Director and Program Manager for AllCity Wireless of Annapolis, MD. In this role, Mr. DeLeon was responsible for developing and growing business that included custom wireless product development and the delivery of professional services that included the ability to secure, manage and operate broadband wireless networks. He was also responsible for maintaining the overall vision and management of network technology initiatives and managed the staff needed to deliver them.

In a message from NetStar-1’s EVP for Integrated Solutions, Les Rosenthal, it was noted that “Vic has extensive experience in areas of compliance such as FISMA, HIPAA, ISO and SOX. Also, he’s implemented sophisticated, off-grid, renewable energy solutions for wireless networking used by clients such as the White House Press Corps and at NASCAR events.”

Prior to AllCity Wireless, Mr. DeLeon served as Director of Network Technologies for Annapolis Wireless Internet for four years. He was responsible for developing the strategy and business plan for building and growing the company as a profitable metro scale WiFi network provider.

Before joining Annapolis Wireless, Mr. DeLeon worked as a Senior Platform Engineer at US Internetworking from 1998 through 2003. He was responsible for the technical leadership for supporting Windows- and UNIX-based servers in a Cisco-powered datacenter. He also personally provided Tier III support functions in a NOC environment for USI clients.

Mr. DeLeon is a 1992 graduate from Salisbury University with a degree in Business Administration from the Perdue School of Business.
